When I was preparing to go Taiwan, I downloaded a lot of ebooks onto my tab. I became seriously addicted to my tab because it’s so convenient to just read on the go. I have people asking me to recommend some marketing books that I’m reading. The fact is that, I don’t read only business related books, I do catch Chinese novels and other types of books.
So here’s what I have been reading:
Babysteps comic (ongoing if I can find #314 onwards)
I completed the comic till #313 and was force to pause because I couldn’t locate #314 – #330 anywhere. If anyone has the source, please let me know. It is quite important because the main character is going through a major competition in his life and could decide his future path. So I don’t want to miss that.
Various books under Dangdang book store
1) The $100 startup by Chris Guillebeau (on-going)
This book is about finding ways to generate income from your passion. It’s a re-read. I got quite inspired by the case studies accounted in the book when I first read it. So I wanted to recap and see if I can catch any other inspiration. Currently reading on the bus to work daily.
2) 初恋爱 by 九夜茵 and 3) 半暖时光 by 桐华 (just completed)
Yes I completed both books before the week ended. I read the 花开半夏 by 九夜茵 before and I thought that it was not bad. So I bought another his/her book. 桐华 is without saying. But I think 初恋爱 is slightly better than 半暖 though both story lines are predictable. It has more touching moments in the story. I always read Chinese stories before I go to sleep. 😂
4) Duct tape selling & 5) magic of thinking big. (Next in line)
I will start on these books after $100 startup.
6) 步步惊心 (Buying to keep.) 7) It’s a free trial book so can be ignore.
8) 成龙 biography (completed)
This is the first ebook I bought from dangdang. Rmb 2 dollar for the ebook version. The ebook quality is quite good too. I completed this book during my tw trip. Some of his stories are quite insipiring too.
9) 何以笙萧默 (Buying to keep)
I have not read the original novel after the show was shown. Probably next in line to read.
I have more ebooks below but is not captured by the screen shots. So I decided to leave it until I start to read.

Offline – I got about 4 hardcopy books that I bought from Kino and 诚品.
2 of them are 肆一 books. I only manage to finish 1/3 of the book, because 肆一 writes more on self – help theories. I reckon I don’t need self help that much, so I only touch the book when I feel like it.
Another one is a pretty interesting book which I might start to read soon: 中国历史穿越指南. This is totally a resource book for writing my novel in future (yes I’m still on it)
The last book is one of the old Wan Wan series to add on to my collection. I probably can finish it in less than 15 mins once I start.
So that’s my readings list for May and June. Good enough to keep my mind working. Do recommend if there are other good books around. 🙂
